LVL (HEADER) BEAMS
The VERSA-LAM® LVL beams from Boise are manufactured with veneers of Douglas fir or an equivalent wood. These oven-dried veneers are carefully layered to evenly distribute wood's natural characteristics.
The 1-3/4" plies are assembled on site to make 3-1/2" wide (2-ply), 5-1/4" wide (3-ply) and 7" wide (4-ply) beams, using nails and bolts and according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Their many advantages include a high load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability.
This product is available in a variety of heights and lengths. It is 1-3/4" thick and its strength grade is 3100Fb-2.0E.
