PONY WALLS

When the joists are parallel to the foundation, a prefabricated pony wall is installed above the foundation wall. The pony wall ensures the transfer of vertical loads from the wall above, as well as floor stability. Our pony walls are manufactured with dry 2 X 6 lumber laid flat with studs at 16" spacing, making it easier to install spray foam or batt insulation.

This product is available in standard heights: 9-1/2", 11-7/8", 14" and 16".
